UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN

Applications are invited for the position of University Librarian at The University of Western Australia, a member of the prestigious Group of Eight research-intensive universities and ranked in the top 100 universities internationally. 

Under the direction of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), the University Librarian will provide leadership and strategic direction to the University Library in supporting education, research and community engagement functions of the institution. 

The University Librarian is expected to promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, innovation and continual improvement within the Library.  The appointee will have highly developed communication, analytical and strategic thinking skills, together with personal qualities of openness and integrity. 

The appointment will be for a period of five years with the possibility for further periods as mutually agreed.  The University offers a flexibly constructed remuneration package with attractive benefits including generous leave provisions, superannuation and fares to Perth (if applicable) for the appointee and dependants along with a relocation allowance.
